Inglês para Exames Médicos: Sangue, Urina, Raio-X, Ultrassom, Ressonância

Depois que o médico diz "Let's order some tests", o restante da consulta geralmente segue assim: você leva uma requisição a um laboratório, centro de imagem ou farmácia; a recepção pergunta qual é o exame, se você está em jejum e se tem algum implante metálico. Cada exame tem um pequeno roteiro em inglês, mas uma única palavra (contrast, fast, claustrophobic) pode te confundir. Memorize algumas frases para cada uma das cinco categorias comuns — sangue, urina, raio-X, ultrassom, tomografia, ressonância — e todo o processo de exames se tornará muito mais tranquilo.

Exame de sangue

• "I'm here for a blood draw."
• "It's a fasting test — I haven't eaten since 9 p.m. last night."
