'I Don't Understand' vs 'I'm Not Sure I Follow':
I'm not sure I follow' 意思一樣,但感覺更柔和、更有合作意味。
'I don't understand'
'I'm not sure I follow' 令呢個請求變得柔和。'
|---|---|---|
| 你講嗰段我有部分冇聽到 | Sorry, could you say that part again?
| 我需要另一種解釋方式 | I'm not sure I follow. Could you put it another way?
| 有一個細節令我搞唔清 | I'm with you up to here, but I lost the last step | 具體、友善 |
| 我想確認自己理解正確 | Let me make sure I understand. You mean...?
| 我需要多啲細節 | Could you walk me through that part a bit more?
I don't understand."
I'm not sure I follow. Could you show me that step again?"
I don't understand this."
I'm with you until the second part, then I get lost."
I don't understand your email."
Thanks for this. I want to make sure I follow. Are you asking for the report today or tomorrow?"
I don't understand what you mean."
Sorry, I'm not quite following. Could you explain that one more time?"
當你想令呢個請求感覺似團隊合作嗰陣,就用 'I'm not sure I follow'。
- A. I still don't understand.
- B. I'm not sure I follow. Could you try one more way of explaining it?
- C. You're not explaining this well.
- A. I don't understand.
- B. I followed it all except the last part. Could you go over that again?
- C. None of that made sense.
- A. I don't understand your email.
- B. Your email was unclear.
- C. Thanks for this. Just to be sure I follow, do you need it by Friday?
