「Through」は最後まで通り抜ける：終える・乗り切る・つながる

Through は登山靴を履いた particle のようなものです。入口で止まるのではなく、中へ入り、面倒な真ん中を横切り、反対側へ出たい。だから through を含む多くの phrasal verbs には努力の感覚があります：get through a long week、go through old files、work through a problem、talk through a plan、break through a barrier。

Through が物理的な意味になることもあります："We walked through the tunnel." しかし phrasal verbs では、実用的または感情的な意味になることがよくあります。すべての手順を終える、つらいことを乗り切る、最初から最後まで確認する、何度か試してつながる、という意味です。

Fall through は、計画が完了前に失敗することです。
