हर शब्द पढ़े बिना Slide कैसे समझाएँ

शुरुआत

आप अगली slide पर click करते हैं। उस पर सात bullet points हैं। और फिर, बिना खुद कोशिश किए, आप उन्हें ज़ोर से पढ़ने लगते हैं। पहला bullet। दूसरा bullet। चौथे bullet तक आधा कमरा आपसे आगे पढ़ चुका है और बाक़ी आधा पीछे की दीवार को घूर रहा है। आप महसूस कर सकते हैं कि कमरे की energy जा रही है, पर आप यह भी नहीं सोच पा रहे कि सामने जो शब्द लिखे हैं उनके अलावा क्या बोलें। यह article उसी छोटी सी आदत के बदलाव के बारे में है जो इसे ठीक करता है।

समस्या

आम गलती

सबसे आम ग़लती है हर ख़ामोशी को screen पर जो भी है उसे पढ़कर भर देना। Present करते वक़्त ख़ामोशी असहज लगती है, इसलिए slide teleprompter बन जाती है। समाधान: जब आप नई slide पर click करें, तो ख़ुद को दो पूरे सेकंड रुकने की इजाज़त दीजिए, कुछ बोलने से पहले। लोगों को headline पढ़ने दीजिए। फिर उसके बारे में बोलिए, उसमें से नहीं। आपको दो सेकंड लंबा लगता है, उन्हें स्वाभाविक।

अभ्यास

  1. कोई भी ऐसी slide लीजिए जो आपने bullet points के साथ बनाई हो। उसे हाथ से ढक लीजिए और दो वाक्यों में याद से समझाने की कोशिश कीजिए। यही आपकी असली script है।

  3. online कोई presentation deck ढूँढिए। हर slide के लिए वह एक वाक्य लिखिए जो आप असल में ज़ोर से बोलेंगे — recitation नहीं, summary।
  4. ख़ुद को 30 सेकंड में एक busy slide समझाते रिकॉर्ड कीजिए, बिना कोई bullet शब्दशः पढ़े।
